June 2020. Went here for lunch with the family on a weekday.
We tried the Pho (beef noodle soup), Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle), Bun Thap Cam (combination vermicelli) and then the Com Dac Biet (combination broken rice) as takeaway.
Generous portions. Silky, fresh rice noodles in the pho. Good mixture of flavours and herbs within the vermicelli noodles. Spicy noodle was delicious but with a slight seafood flavour.
Friendly and efficient service. Casual ambience with limited indoor and outdoor seating available. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a good competitive option in West End for Vietnamese cuisine.
This little cute Vietnamese makes me feel at home whilst eating some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever tasted.
The grilled pork Banh Mi and the Bun Bo Hue is the perfect combo to die for, absolutely delicious! The staff are incredibly humble and nice. The service was amazing and super fast. The shop is family owned which makes even more reason to dine in here on the regular.Tony and Jenny (the owners) have been cooking Vietnamese food for over thirty years now.
Their experience in the kitchen and the flavours in their dishes is nothing but scrumdiddleumptious.I have been to Vietnam many times with my wife (I met over there) and we both can agree "Ca Phe Nam" is as good as any top authentic restaurant in Vietnam.Keep up the great work Tony and Jenny. I am a local to your restaurant for a reason and will keep coming back forever. 5/5 Stars!
